I am John Davis and these are my original paintings and prints. I was the creator and owner of the Davis Pottery and Gallery in the Chautauqua Lake NY. In 1999 I retired, and since then have concentrated on my paintings. I work mainly in
watercolor, but egg tempera and acrylics as well.
I usually paint places I care about and visit often. Like a farm of an old Amish friend, they are anchors that in some way define me. I have history there and they are part of me. Since I have spent most of my life in Cleveland and Chautauqua, these areas have inspired me, and many of my paintings represent this. Please look at my work and let me know what you think.
